Could this end the everlasting search for a faster browser? My personal guess is that it can't. However, it is quite a neat little tweak for really speeding up (the ever so famous?) Internet Explorer.

A new virus/worm is on the loose !!

A new virus is set on the loose. The worm Rbot-GR is not like other normal viruses that enters your computer, but it also invades your private life. When the virus enters your computer it first of all searches for a camera device or a microphone. If you have one installed to your computer you are not alone anymore. It then starts recording you through your own camera.

But unlike Netbus (a similar but older relative of Rbot-GR) this worm, apart from recording you, rummages through your computer, can check your passwords and go through your e-mails.

This is how you protect yourself against Rbot-GR:
1. Get the latest updates for your anti-virus.
2. Get a firewall – If u already don’t have one.
3. Update your operative system.
4. Don’t open files you don’t recognize.
5. Don’t open mails by people you don’t know.
6. If you still feel unsafe, turn your camera and microphone off when they are not in use.

DDR or DDR2? Which one is better?

Legion Hardware has done a very thorough test about the performances of DDR memory type and the new DDR2 memory type. The results were very interesting. Even though DDR2 has twice the bus speed of DDR, it still is reletivly slower than the DDR Ram type, mainly due to bad latency problems. According to Legion Hardware the DDR2 will not dominate DDR untill DDR667 will be released.
